GATE And JAM 2025: GATE and JAM exam center changed in Prayagraj due to Mahakumbh, see list of new centers
GATE 2025 exam was to be held on 1 and 2 February 2025 and JAM 2025 exam on 2 February 2025 in Prayagraj. Now these centers have been changed. Read the list of new exam centers here.
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee has changed the examination centers for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) and Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) in the coming days. This decision has been taken due to Mahakumbh Mela in Prayagraj. A large number of devotees are coming to Prayagraj during Mahakumbh, causing traffic jams and traffic problems in the city, and candidates may face difficulty in reaching the examination centers. Keeping this situation in mind, IIT Roorkee has shifted the examination centers of Prayagraj to Lucknow.

IIT Roorkee has issued an official notice stating that many candidates have complained of difficulty in reaching the examination centers in Prayagraj during the Maha Kumbh Mela. The notice said, 'A large number of devotees are expected to arrive on 1st and 2nd February 2025 during the Mahakumbh in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, due to which the candidates may face problems in reaching the examination center. Therefore, the examination of the examination centers of Prayagraj has been transferred to the centers in Lucknow.'

The candidates who were going to take the GATE 2025 and JAM 2025 exams in Prayagraj have now been shifted to take the exam at the examination centers in Lucknow. IIT Roorkee has made this change in view of the possible traffic problems due to the Mahakumbh Mela. Now all the candidates have to check the official website for information about their new examination centers. Candidates can check the name, center code, and address of their old and new exam centers allotted for the exam.

IIT Roorkee has released the list of new exam centers for GATE and JAM exams. Candidates have to visit GOAPS portal (https://goaps.iitr.ac.in/login) and JOAPS portal (https://joaps.iitd.ac.in/login) to download the admit cards of new centers for GATE-2025 and JAM-2025. All the candidates must check that they check their new exam centre details correctly while downloading.
