In today's time, everyone has a bank account. In which people get many facilities. But banking does not mean only depositing and withdrawing money. Every day millions of people in the country use different services of banks.

If we talk about them, updating the passbook, changing the mobile number, ordering a check book or doing online transactions. All these services have increased a lot in the last few times. The bank also charges you for doing many of these things.

And this is the reason why customers have started thinking twice before using every facility. Because people have to pay a lot of money in the charge of using the service. If seen for some time, people are now having to pay charges on many facilities.

From passbook update to check payment, there are many services which were earlier free, but now fees are being charged on them. According to a report, many big banks are now charging customers for SMS alerts, duplicate passbooks, and other common tasks.

Many banks are charging Rs 10 to Rs 35 monthly for SMS alerts. At the same time, Rs 50 per page has to be paid extra for duplicate passbook. A charge of Rs 250 to Rs 300 has to be paid annually for debit card maintenance. At the same time, even after crossing the cash withdrawal limit from ATM, a charge has to be paid for every transaction.

Apart from this, a new charge has also been imposed on IMPS transactions. In which there is no charge from SBI up to Rs 1000, but as the amount increases, the transaction charge reaches from Rs 2 to Rs 5. In which GST is added separately.

A charge of up to Rs 500 can be levied for not maintaining the minimum balance in the account. Rs 200 is charged for stopping cheque payment, up to a maximum of Rs 500 and Rs 150 is charged for issuing a duplicate cheque. There is a charge of Rs 100 to Rs 150 for changing signature, photo or name.

There can be a fee of Rs 25 to Rs 50 for changing mobile number, Rs 250 to Rs 800 for account closing and Rs 50 to Rs 100 for reissuing ATM PIN. Therefore, it has now become necessary for customers to find out for what they will have to pay charges and what things are free. Otherwise, you will have to keep paying these small charges every month.
