Freedom from Scam Calls: Real-Time Safety Alerts Coming to the Galaxy S26 Series with This Powerful Feature
Samsung may introduce a new feature in its upcoming flagship device to help users get rid of the problem of scam calls. This feature works in the background and provides real-time alerts to users.
Nowadays, every mobile user is troubled by scam calls. Considering this, Samsung may introduce a feature in its upcoming flagship Galaxy S26 series that can help eliminate scam calls. Until now, this scam call detection feature has only been available on Google Pixel phones, and now Samsung users will also be able to benefit from it. Let's find out what this feature is and how it works.
How does the scam call detection feature work?
This feature works in the background during a call. If the feature detects that a call might be a scam, it alerts the user in real-time. It alerts the user through notifications, sound, and vibration, allowing them to disconnect the call before incurring significant losses. This feature first appeared with the Google Pixel 9 series. Currently, it is available on the Pixel 6 series and subsequent models. Now, it is being brought to models from other companies as well.
Starting with Samsung
According to media reports, the scope of this feature may be expanded to include Samsung devices. It is claimed that Google will make this feature available for other models through a separate app called Android CallCore. This app supports the infrastructure of phone calling-based features, and after its latest update, it can also detect scam calls. This app can only be installed on devices with a specific feature flag, and the Galaxy S26 Ultra is highly likely to have this flag. If these reports are correct, it means that Samsung's upcoming flagship device will not rely on Google's phone app for scam detection.
