MP CM Mohan Yadav Distributes Scooties to 7,832 Students, Transfers ₹61 Crore to 20 Lakh Girls
It was a day of celebration for school students across Madhya Pradesh as Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav handed over keys of brand-new scooties to 7,832 toppers of Class 12 board exams. Alongside, the CM also transferred financial assistance under the Sanitation-Hygiene Scheme and Kasturba Gandhi Girls’ School Scheme, benefiting millions of schoolgirls in the state.
Scooty Distribution to Toppers
During a grand event, CM Mohan Yadav personally handed over scooty keys to thousands of meritorious students. The initiative, aimed at rewarding academic excellence, is part of the state’s continuous effort to encourage education among youth.
Interestingly, the Chief Minister also joined a girl student on her new scooty, taking a short ride and sharing the moment with attendees.
“Students of Madhya Pradesh are receiving multiple facilities including scooties, laptops, bicycles, notebooks, and other educational materials. Today, 7,832 Class 12 toppers are being awarded scooties through the School Education Department,” said CM Yadav.
Hygiene and Stationery Support for Girls
In addition to distributing scooties, the CM transferred ₹61.12 crore directly to the accounts of 20.37 lakh girls under the Sanitation-Hygiene Scheme. This scheme provides ₹300 annually to every girl studying in Classes 7 to 12 in government schools for health and hygiene needs.
Moreover, under the Kasturba Gandhi Girls’ School (Type IV) Scheme, the Chief Minister transferred ₹7 crore into the accounts of 20,100 girl students living in hostels. Each girl receives ₹3,400 annually to cover study materials (TLM) and stipend support.
A Record of Student-Centric Initiatives
Highlighting the state government’s focus on empowering students, CM Yadav shared details of various schemes:
-
Over 5 lakh students have received laptops worth ₹1,300 crore in the last 15 years.
-
Nearly 1 crore bicycles have been distributed to schoolchildren at a cost of ₹3,000 crore.
-
More than 23,000 students have already received scooties under government initiatives, involving an expenditure of ₹250 crore.
“These measures ensure that the youth of Madhya Pradesh are not just job seekers but become job creators,” CM Yadav emphasized. He added that industrialization is being promoted vigorously to provide a strong foundation for future entrepreneurs.
Upcoming Visit of Prime Minister Modi
The Chief Minister also announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Dhar district on September 17, 2025, to lay the foundation stone of India’s first PM Mitra Park at Badnawar. Earlier in February 2025, the PM had visited Bhopal for the Global Investors Summit (GIS), which brought investment proposals worth ₹30.77 lakh crore to the state.
A Celebration for Students
School Education Minister Uday Pratap Singh described the event as a festival for schoolchildren. “Today is a day of joy for students across the state. The Chief Minister has always encouraged and motivated children. Through this state-level scooty distribution program, students and officials from every district are connected,” Singh said.
A Comprehensive Welfare Push
The day’s announcements underline Madhya Pradesh’s continued focus on strengthening educational support systems, particularly for girls. From hygiene allowances to stipends, and from bicycles to scooties, the government is aiming to reduce barriers to education while motivating students to perform better academically.
With lakhs of beneficiaries receiving direct financial aid and thousands of toppers rewarded with scooties, September 11 will remain a memorable day for the state’s schoolchildren.
