Recently, a woman working in a private company was cheated in this way. Actually, the woman got a call from an unknown number. In which it was said that your father has asked me to transfer some money to your account, I am doing UPI on your phone.
After this, the woman calls her father and asks, then the father tells. He did not say anything like this but by then that person sends four-five messages on the woman's phone about the money being credited. But all these messages are sent from a private number. Which are exactly like transaction messages.
The fraudster tells the woman that I have sent more money to your account. Please return my money, do UPI on my number. The woman refuses and says that the amount is big. You give me the bank details, I do net banking. But the fraud pretends to cry in front of the woman. And keeps insisting on doing UPI. But the woman does not agree. She tells him that the money will be transferred only after she goes to the bank and complains.
But when the woman goes to her bank and checks, she finds out that no money was sent to her account. Then the woman understands that she was going to be defrauded. If you also get such a call, then immediately register a complaint on the cyber crime portal.
