Keep dates flexible

Diwali, keep flexible dates to travel around. That is, it should not happen that you prefer to travel on the same date. For example, flights are often cheaper on working days like Tuesday or Wednesday as compared to Friday and Sunday.

Choose off-peak hours
Choose early morning or late night flights, as they are more economical.

Be flexible with airports.
Be flexible on the basis of the airport as well. This also makes the flight ticket cheaper. Check if there is an airport nearby from which you can get a cheaper ticket.

Choose connected flight tickets
Consider connecting flights instead of direct flights, as they can sometimes be cheaper.

Book in advance
The sooner you book, the more likely you are to get a flight ticket. It is believed that you can get good savings by booking at least 45-60 minutes in advance. Apart from this, you can also save by choosing a budget airline.
