If you have also recharged the annual FASTag and are thinking that now money will not be deducted at the toll plaza, then your thought may prove wrong. Actually, there are many reasons that, if not taken care of, can lead to money being deducted from your FASTag despite the annual FASTag plan being recharged. Let us tell you that now you can get the annual recharge of FASTag done for Rs 3000. In which you get the facility to cross 200 toll plazas in a year. Let us talk in detail about those reasons due to which you will not be able to stop the deduction of money from your FASTag despite spending Rs 3000.

FASTag with annual recharge will not work here.

Let us tell you that the annual FASTag, which started from August 15, will be valid only on highways, expressways operated by the National Highway Authority of India, i.e., NHAI, and roads under the Central Government. This means that this pass will not be applicable on any state highway, state government roads, or private toll roads. In such a situation, if you have recharged your FASTag for a year and are thinking that money will not be deducted from your FASTag anywhere, then it is not so. If you go to any toll that does not come under NHAI or the Central Government, then money will be deducted from the balance in your FASTag, and for this, you will have to maintain a separate balance in your FASTag.

How to find out where it will work?

If you want to know at which toll plazas the annual FASTag will work, then you can download the RajmargYatra app on your phone. After tapping on Annual Toll Pass in the app, tap on Eligible Toll Plaza under the Manage Pass section. Here you will see on a map at which toll plazas your annually recharged FASTag will work. Also, below you will see the list of eligible toll plazas. According to the location, you will be able to find out where you will be able to avail the benefit of an annual FASTag.

FASTag not affixed properly.
If your FASTag is not affixed properly in the vehicle, or is placed at the wrong place, then the scanner may not be able to read it properly. In such a situation, the balance may be deducted from your FASTag at the toll plaza. If you have done the annual recharge of FASTag, then confirm that your FASTag is placed in the right place in the vehicle.

FASTag may be torn
If the FASTag installed in your vehicle has been damaged due to sunlight, dust, or scratching, then it is also possible that the scanner may make a mistake in reading it. In such a situation, check beforehand that the condition of the FASTag installed in the vehicle is good and it is not coming off from anywhere. If there is any such problem, then it would be better that you first install a new FASTag in the vehicle. Overall, after getting the annual FASTag recharged, you cannot be sure that money will not be deducted from your FASTag under any circumstances. For this, you will have to be present at the right place with the correct recharge and with the FASTag in good condition.

Due to system problems
Sometimes, due to problems in the toll plaza server or system, money can be deducted from your FASTag balance despite having an annual FASTag. If something like this happens to you, you can ask for a refund of the wrongly deducted balance. For this, you can call the helpline number 1033 or email falsededuction@ihmcl.com with all the details.
