What is FASTag Annual Pass?

Under the FASTag Annual Pass, personal vehicles like cars, jeeps and vans will get the facility of 200 toll crossings or travel for one year for Rs 3000. That is, in this amount you can use FASTag Annual Pass for one year, but if you cross 200 tolls before the completion of the year, then you will have to recharge again.

How to get FASTag Annual Pass?

For FASTag Annual Pass, you do not need to get a new tag separately, it will be linked to your existing FASTag. This pass will work only on national highways and expressways under NHAI and Ministry of Road Transport. Buying FASTag Annual Pass is quite easy. Let's know the process.

First of all go to Rajmarg Yatra app or NHAI's official website.

Login by entering your vehicle number and FASTag ID there.

After this, pay Rs 3000 through UPI, debit card, credit card or net banking.

As soon as the payment is completed, the Annual Pass will be linked to your FASTag.

After this, you will get an SMS of activation on 15th August.

Benefits of FASTag Annual Pass

The government says that this step will reduce the crowd and traffic jam at the toll plaza. Along with this, the driving experience will be better, which will make the journey more comfortable and faster. The biggest advantage of this pass is that you will get relief from the hassle of recharging online again and again. Points to note

Let us tell you that FASTag Annual Pass is not transferable and it will be valid only on the registered vehicle. It is also non-refundable, that is, if you recharge once, then you will not get its money back later. When the validity of the pass expires, it will not be renewed automatically, so the pass holder will have to recharge it again.

This pass will be valid only on National Highways and National Expressways under NHAI, such as Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, Mumbai-Nashik, Mumbai-Surat and Mumbai-Ratnagiri. However, this Annual Pass will not work on State Highways or Municipal Corporation Toll Roads. On such routes, your FASTag will work normally and toll fee will be deducted at the fixed rates.
