FASTag Annual Pass Count Reaches 10 Million; Covers 1,150 Toll Plazas

The government has shared significant information regarding the FASTag annual pass. The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has announced that over 10 million users across the country have subscribed to the FASTag annual pass. This pass covers 1,150 toll plazas nationwide.

The FASTag annual pass was launched on August 15, 2025. It requires a one-time payment of ₹3,075 and remains valid for one year or until the vehicle has passed through toll plazas 200 times. The issuance of 10 million passes highlights the effectiveness of this initiative in promoting seamless and affordable travel on national highways across the country.

Pass Covers 1,150 Toll Plazas

With the FASTag annual pass, you do not need to worry about balance deductions or frequent recharges at toll plazas. The pass works seamlessly at approximately 1,150 toll plazas located on national highways and expressways across the country. However, this facility is available only for private (non-commercial) vehicles that already have a valid FASTag installed.

Annual Pass Activates on Existing FASTag

If you frequently travel on highways, this pass is an excellent and cost-effective way to save both time and money. You do not need to purchase a new tag for the annual pass; instead, you can acquire it by paying ₹3,075 via the National Highways Authority of India's 'Rajmargyatra' app. It gets activated on your vehicle's existing FASTag.
