Seeing the growing trend of AI, Facebook is asking its users for access to their phone's camera roll so that automatic AI-generated suggestions can be given for their photos. For your information, let us tell you that this also includes those photos that you have not yet uploaded on Facebook. Users are being asked for this access while creating a story on Facebook. For this, a pop-up appears on the user's screen. Facebook will get access to your camera roll by just clicking on a button. Read below to know the full news.

Facebook will get access as soon as you click on this button.
According to the latest report of TechCrunch, Facebook's new feature is taking permission from users in the form of a pop-up whether they would like to opt into cloud processing for creative suggestions. For your information, this pop-up is coming to the users while creating a story. Let us tell you that users can permit the app by clicking on the Allow button on the pop-up. However, know that once you give permission, Facebook gets access to produce new ideas from your phone's camera roll, including collages, recaps, AI restyling, or photo themes. The company says that for this feature, it will upload media from the camera roll to its servers on an 'ongoing basis' based on information such as time, location, or theme.

This is how Meta AI will be used

According to the photo given in the report, the message on the screen is telling that only you can see the suggestion and the media is not used for ad targeting. However, by tapping on Allow, you also accept Meta's AI terms of service. By doing this, you allow AI to analyze media and facial features. The company will also use the date and presence of people or objects in your photos to prepare its creative ideas. According to Meta's AI terms regarding image processing, once shared, you agree that Meta will analyze those photos, including facial features, using AI.

Let us tell you that these are the same terms, which state that Meta gives AI the right to "retain and use" any personal information shared by users to personalize its AI output. It also states that the social media giant can review users' interactions with its AI.
