Exclusive photos of the Vande Bharat Sleeper have surfaced. See what the First AC coach will be like.

According to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, the Vande Bharat Sleeper train will be launched only after the second train is fully ready. This train is being built by BEML.
After the AC chair car, the sleeper version of the Vande Bharat is also ready to hit the tracks. Coaches for the Vande Bharat Sleeper are now being developed in a new design, with the Indo-Russian joint venture KINET Railway Solutions showcasing the First AC coach of the Vande Bharat Sleeper at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi.
The Vande Bharat Sleeper First AC compartment features comfortable reclining seats and beds, charging points, and premium-quality mobile phone holders and water bottle holders for passenger convenience.
The Railway Ministry will soon flag off this Vande Bharat Sleeper train. It is noteworthy that KINET Railway Solutions, an Indo-Russian joint venture company, has showcased the design concept of the first AC compartment of the Vande Bharat Sleeper Train for the first time at the International Railway Equipment Exhibition (IREE 2025).
This train will be India's first high-speed luxury sleeper train, featuring noise-free interiors, automatic doors, sensor lighting, and charging facilities at every berth. These coaches are being manufactured in Latur, Maharashtra, and will mark a new chapter in comfort and technology for Indian Railways.
KINET Railway Solutions is a joint venture between India's Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) and Russia's largest rolling stock manufacturer, CJSC Transmashholding.
This company has been assigned the responsibility of designing and manufacturing 120 Vande Bharat Sleeper trainsets, or 1,920 coaches, as well as maintaining them for 35 years. Each train set will have 16 coaches. The company is expected to launch the first prototype by June 2026.
Indian Railways has awarded the contract to build the Vande Bharat Sleeper train to three companies: state-owned BEML, KINET Railway Solutions, and a consortium of Titagarh Rail Systems Limited and BHEL. The Railways has also decided to launch two Vande Bharat Sleeper trains simultaneously.
Last month, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav stated that the first Vande Bharat Sleeper train would be rolled out only after the second train was fully completed. BEML is building this train and uses technology from the Integral Coach Factory (ICF).
