EPFO Auto Settlement: The EPFO ​​has implemented a new framework to auto-settle PF claims of up to ₹5 lakh, enabling eligible members with complete KYC to receive payments within three days.

PF Claim Process: The EPFO ​​has introduced a new framework to make the PF claim process faster and easier than before. The biggest advantage of this change is that eligible members can now easily process PF claims of up to ₹5 lakh through auto-settlement. Consequently, if you have all the necessary documents and your KYC is complete, your claim can be settled in just three days.

This is considered the most significant reform to the PF claim process in recent years. Its primary objective is to make funds available to employees quickly, reduce paperwork, and streamline the claim system.

Auto-settlement limit raised to ₹5 lakh

The EPFO ​​has increased the auto-settlement limit from ₹1 lakh to ₹5 lakh. This allows a larger number of members to avail the benefit of advance PF withdrawal without manual intervention. The organization is also working on promoting digital verification, reducing claim rejections, and simplifying the overall process.

How will the PF claim be settled in 3 days?

Under the new rules, if your UAN is active, your Aadhaar is linked, and your KYC is complete, you can get your PF claim settled within just three days. However, cases requiring extensive verification or document validation may take longer.

The EPFO ​​has also stipulated that if an official withholds approval for a claim for more than 20 days without a valid reason, a penalty of up to 12% may be imposed on them. This measure aims to prevent undue delays in the claim process. Make sure to check these points before filing a PF claim:

Your UAN (Universal Account Number) must be active.
PAN and bank account details must be updated.
The KYC process must be completed.
Linking the UAN with Aadhaar is mandatory.
Your registered mobile number must also be active to facilitate smooth OTP verification.
If all these conditions are met, your PF claim can be processed quickly, and the amount will be transferred to your bank account in less time.
