EPFO News: If you are an EPFO member, you should be aware that updating this detail is crucial before filing a PF claim; otherwise, you will not be able to complete your e-nomination.

EPFO News: Salaried individuals are naturally members of the EPFO (Employees' Provident Fund Organisation). Therefore, it is important to keep your UAN profile on the portal properly updated. Failure to do so could result in significant inconvenience. Many people do not consider updating the profile photo essential, but it is vital for completing your profile. If your profile is incomplete or outdated, the e-nomination process cannot be finished, which could lead to your PF claim getting stalled.

Updating the Profile Photo is Essential

According to the EPFO, the profile photo helps in identifying the member. While a photo is not required for every task, it is mandatory for certain services like e-nomination. Having an updated photo also reduces the likelihood of delays in the settlement of PF-related claims.

How to Update Your Profile Photo?

If you haven't updated your profile photo yet, you can do so by following these steps:

Log in to the EPFO Unified Member Portal using your UAN and password.
Go to the 'Profile' or 'View' section.
Select the option to update the photo.
Upload a new passport-sized photograph.
Save the changes and verify that the photo is displayed correctly.

Update Your Profile

It is not just the profile photo; there are several other details you should keep updated as well. Information such as your Aadhaar number, PAN, bank account details, mobile number, and email ID must be accurate and verified. Keeping these details updated facilitates smooth online PF withdrawals, pension services, e-nomination, and claim settlements.
