EPFO Extend UAN Activation Deadline: The Employees' Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has given a big relief to the employed people. It has extended the deadline for activating the Universal Account Number (UAN) and linking the bank account with Aadhaar. Now this important work can be done till March 15, 2025. This deadline was over on February 15, 2025.

Why is UAN Activation necessary?
The Universal Account Number (UAN) is 12 digits. Through this, employees can track all the information related to their PF account. UAN Activation has many benefits:

You can transfer PF without any hassle.

How to do UAN Activation and Aadhaar Link?
Let's know the easiest way to UAN Activation:
Go to the official website of EPFO.
Click on 'For Employees' in the Services section.
Click on 'Member UAN Online Service'.
Click on 'Activate UAN'.
Enter 12-digit UAN, Aadhaar number, name, date of birth, mobile number, and captcha.
Click on 'Get Authorization Pin'.
OTP will come on the mobile number linked to Aadhaar, enter it and click on Submit.
UAN will be activated and a password will be received on the mobile.
Login by entering your UAN and password.
How to link Aadhaar to EPF account?
Go to the official website of EPFO.
Click on 'Member UAN Online Service' in the 'For Employees' section.
Login by entering your UAN and password.
Click on 'KYC' option in the 'Manage' section.
Enter your Aadhaar number and bank account details.
Click on 'Save' and wait for EPFO verification.
After KYC approval, Aadhaar will be linked to the EPF account.
EPFO's new changes and plans
EPFO is now planning to provide PF withdrawal facility through UPI. This will make PF withdrawal even easier. EPFO has implemented new rules, under which name and date of birth can be corrected without any documents. Now EPFO members will be able to transfer their PF account from one employer to another on their own.
