EPFO Extend UAN Activation Deadline: If you want to take advantage of EPFO's ELI Scheme or want to track your PF account, then it is necessary to activate the Universal Account Number (UAN). This work can be done till March 15. If UAN is not activated, then the employed employees will not be able to take advantage of the ELI scheme.
Retirement fund body Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has extended the deadline to activate UAN and link bank accounts with Aadhaar till March 15, 2025. This information has been given in a circular issued recently by the Ministry of Labor and Employment. Even before this, the deadline to activate UAN has been extended several times. Earlier the deadline was February 15, 2025.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman launched the Employment Linked Incentive (ELI) scheme in the Union Budget of July 2024. This scheme aims to increase employment opportunities in the country and promote workers in the organized sector. It has three versions A, B, and C. Scheme A is for those employees who are joining the EPF scheme for the first time. Scheme B has been specially designed to promote employment in the manufacturing sector. Apart from this, Scheme C has been started to support employers so that they can employ more employees.

UAN can be activated using the Aadhaar based OTP process. You can do this important work by following the steps given below. After successful activation, a password will be sent to your registered mobile number.
First of all, go to EPFO Membership Portal.
Now click on the Activate UAN link under Important Links.
After this, fill in the requested details like UAN number, Aadhaar number, name, date of birth, and Aadhaar-linked mobile number.
Give your consent for Aadhaar-based OTP verification.
Now click on Get Authorisation PIN to get OTP on the Aadhaar-linked mobile number.
Fill in the OTP received on your mobile number to complete the UAN activation process.
