**EPFO Linked to Various Regional Servers**
The current EPFO ​​system relies on servers connected to various regional offices, often leading to technical glitches and server downtime issues. The new system plans to centralize and modify data processing. Essentially, efforts are underway to make EPFO ​​services as seamless and digital as modern banking services.

It is reported that EPFO ​​3.0 may introduce an automated system for advance claims. This means that when an employee files a claim, the computerized system could verify the necessary details and eligibility criteria, thereby reducing the need for manual approval of every claim. The aim is reportedly to settle claims of up to ₹5 lakh within 3 to 4 days.

**ATM and UPI Facilities for PF**
Plans include integrating PF accounts with modern banking systems and digital payment networks like UPI. This would spare employees from undergoing lengthy procedures for small advances or emergency needs. Discussions are also ongoing regarding the possibility of withdrawing PF funds via ATMs or UPI, although this process is still in the planning stage. It is worth noting that there has been ongoing discussion regarding the launch of EPFO ​​3.0 features. Initially, the launch was planned for July, and later, there was talk of an August launch; however, it appears to have been postponed due to technical issues. Ultimately, until the EPFO ​​makes an official announcement, no specific launch date can be considered confirmed.
