Step-by-step withdrawal process
Log in to the EPFO portal
First, visit the EPFO Member Unified Portal.
Log in using your UAN, password, and captcha.
Select the claim option
Click on the 'Online Services' tab located at the top of the main screen.
Select 'CLAIM (FORM-31, 19, 10C & 10D)' from the dropdown list. Verify Bank Account Number
Your personal details will appear on the screen.
Enter the bank account number recorded in your files and click 'Verify'.
Check the 'Yes' box to agree to the terms and conditions, then click 'Proceed for Online Claim'.
Select Claim Type and Category
Under the 'I Want To Apply For' option, select 'PF ADVANCE (FORM-31)'.
Reason: You must now select a category based on the new rules.
Essential Needs: (For marriage, higher education, or illness)
Housing Needs: (For purchasing a house/plot, house construction, home loan repayment, or repairs)
Special Circumstances: (In the event of job loss, natural disaster, pandemic, or company closure)
Enter the amount you wish to withdraw.
Upload Bank Passbook/Cheque and Address Details
Enter your current address.
Upload a photo of your bank cheque or a copy of your passbook (ensure the account number, name, and IFSC code are clearly visible).
Submit using Aadhaar OTP
Check the declaration box provided below.
Click on 'Get Aadhaar OTP'.
Enter the OTP received on your mobile and click 'Validate OTP and Submit Claim Form'.
