Through this new Aadhaar mobile application, users will be able to update important personal details like their name, residential address, and date of birth directly from their smartphone. The purpose of this digital solution is to reduce the dependence on visiting enrollment centers in person. That is, if this application is released, then you will not need to go to the center to get any changes made in your Aadhaar.

AI will be used:

By combining Artificial Intelligence (AI) with Face ID technology, this app will provide secure and easy digital Aadhaar services to users across India. From November, Aadhaar users will only have to visit enrollment centers for biometric authentication, which includes fingerprint and iris scanning. This new move by UIDAI aims to simplify the update process, eliminate the need for extensive paperwork, reduce the risk of identity fraud, and make the entire process faster and more convenient.

Apart from these features, UIDAI plans to automatically obtain user data from verified government sources. This will include documents such as birth certificate, PAN card, passport, driving license, ration card from Public Distribution System (PDS) and MNREGA scheme records. Apart from this, electricity bill information can also be included to make address verification even easier.

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has launched the Aadhaar Good Governance Portal to streamline the process of Aadhaar verification requests. The platform is designed to enhance the overall efficiency and user-friendliness of Aadhaar-related services. By simplifying the submission and approval of verification applications, the portal is expected to promote accessibility and inclusiveness in the Aadhaar system.
