DU Admission 2026: Preparations for Delhi University admissions begin; entry based on CUET scores
DU Admission 2026: The CSAS portal for Delhi University admissions will open soon. Registration on the CSAS portal will commence after the declaration of CUET UG results.
DU Admission 2026: If you have passed Class 12 and dream of studying at Delhi University, this news is for you. The university is set to open its Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal for undergraduate admissions very soon. This process will begin after the CUET UG 2026 results are declared.
Admissions will be offered for approximately 70,000 seats across all 91 Delhi University colleges. A CUET UG 2026 score is mandatory for admission to the university's regular undergraduate courses; no student will be granted admission to a regular course without a CUET score. Unlike in the past, there is no provision for direct admission based on Class 12 marks. This year, the CUET UG 2026 exam was conducted between May 11 and May 31, 2026. The exam was held in 306 cities across the country, with approximately 15.6 lakh students registering for it.
Registration via CSAS Portal
The current deadline for submitting applications for UG admission is June 30, 2026; therefore, students are advised to complete all necessary procedures in a timely manner. The admission process will be entirely online. First, students must register on the DU CSAS portal. Subsequently, they will need to select their preferred courses and colleges. Students must submit a list of colleges and courses based on their preferences, as seat allocation will be determined by this order.
Following this, the university will release seat allocation lists in various phases. Students must accept the seat allocated to them in a specific college and course. Once the seat is confirmed, they will be required to visit the respective college to have their original documents verified.
Application Fee
An application fee for registration has also been fixed. Students belonging to the General, OBC, and EWS categories are required to pay a fee of ₹250, while the fee for SC, ST, and PwBD category students is ₹100. Candidates can visit the official website for further details.
CUET Final Answer Key Released
It is worth noting that the CUET UG results may be declared soon. The final answer key for the exam was released on June 22, and students can check it on the official website.
