DU Admission 2026: Meanwhile, a significant update has emerged for CBSE Class 12 students who applied for the re-evaluation of their board results and are still awaiting the revised outcome.

DU Admission 2026: The undergraduate (UG) admission process for the 2026-27 academic session has commenced at Delhi University (DU). Students who appeared for the CUET (UG) 2026 exam and wish to seek admission to DU colleges must register on the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) 2026 portal.

Amidst this, there is a major update for CBSE Class 12 students who applied for re-evaluation of their board results and are still waiting for the revised results. Delhi University has provided essential information regarding the admission process for such students. So, let us find out what students awaiting their CBSE re-evaluation results should do.

What should students awaiting CBSE re-evaluation results do?

Delhi University has stated that CBSE students who have opted for the re-evaluation of their Class 12 results—but whose revised results have not yet been released—should currently enter their original marks (i.e., the marks obtained prior to re-evaluation) on the CSAS portal. Students can update their marks once CBSE releases the revised results.

DU’s advice to students

Haneet Gandhi, Dean of Admissions at Delhi University, stated that students whose re-evaluation results are pending need not worry. She explained that the CSAS portal will remain open for several weeks, allowing students to easily update their marks after the revised results are declared. Additionally, Delhi University has clarified that the CUET (UG) 2026 score will be the primary factor for undergraduate admissions. Class 12 marks will be used solely to verify that the student has passed Class 12. Additionally, in the event of a tie—where two or more students have identical CUET scores—Class 12 marks may be used as a tie-breaker.

Admission Based on CUET Scores

The university has clarified that admission to all undergraduate courses will be based on CUET (UG) 2026 scores. Candidates must also fulfill the specific eligibility criteria for the course they wish to pursue. Details regarding these requirements are provided in the university’s Information Bulletin 2026.

How to Register on the CSAS Portal?

According to Delhi University, candidates can register on the CSAS portal using only their CUET (UG) 2026 application number. The application process commenced on June 26, 2026. Delhi University has initiated the admission process for the 2026-27 academic session, covering 73 undergraduate programs and over 100 BA programs across 67 colleges. Admissions will be conducted for approximately 71,000 undergraduate seats this year.
