In private institutions

From June 1, you can also take a driving license test in special private institutes or driving schools recognized by the government. Meaning, that if you are thinking of getting a driving license but are afraid of taking the test in RTO, then there is good news for you. This does not mean that RTO will not work. It will be just like before, only you will have a different option for a driving license test. For Light Motor Vehicles (LMV) you will have to take 29 hours of training within 4 weeks. In this, it will be necessary to have 8 hours of bookish knowledge and 21 hours of practical. For Heavy Motor Vehicles (HMV), 38 hours of training will be required within 6 weeks. 31 hours of practical and 8 hours of paper.

Talking about fees, you will have to pay Rs 150 for the learning license and Rs 50 for its test. A fee of Rs 300 will be charged for the final test, which will have to be paid every time until it is passed. If everything goes well then you will have to pay Rs 200 separately for the card. If you want to renew the license then the fee is Rs 200. Let us tell you that the driving license is valid for 20 years from the date of receipt. You also have to update your license after 10 years and then after 5 years after the age of 40 years.

You have both options. After it is your choice.

A very important thing: If you drive under the age of 18, your license will be canceled and you will not be able to get a new license for 25 years.
