Driver Recruitment at Punjab and Haryana High Court; Apply by September 18
Recruitment for the post of Driver has been announced by the Punjab and Haryana High Court. A notification has been issued to fill a total of 25 driver vacancies. Candidates can apply online until September 18.
The Punjab and Haryana High Court has initiated the online application process for 25 driver positions. Eligible candidates can apply up to September 18. Applications must be submitted online via the High Court's official website. The recruitment notification was released on August 28. Of the 25 total driver posts, 21 are reserved for the General category, 3 for SC/ST/BC categories, and 1 for Ex-servicemen. The High Court has also clarified that the number of vacancies is subject to change based on requirements.
Candidates who have passed Class 12 can apply.
To apply for the driver post, candidates must have passed at least Class 12. Additionally, they must have studied Hindi or Punjabi at the matriculation (Class 10) level. Candidates are required to hold a valid Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) license. Furthermore, a minimum of two years of car-driving experience is required. According to the notification, candidates must not have been convicted of any offense related to negligent driving.
Age limit: 18 to 35 years
Applicants for the driver post must be between 18 and 35 years of age as of September 18. Candidates belonging to reserved categories will be granted age relaxation in accordance with the rules.
Selection via practical test and interview
Candidates for the driver post will be selected through a process involving a practical test and an interview. Following the receipt of applications, candidates will be called for the various stages of the selection process. Subsequently, document verification and a medical examination will be conducted. Selected candidates will also undergo initial training. During this period, the candidate will be paid a salary based on the daily wage rates prescribed by the Chandigarh Administration.
Application fee up to ₹1,000
The application fee for these posts varies based on the candidate's category. A fee of ₹1,000 has been fixed for General and Reserved category candidates from outside Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh. Meanwhile, the application fee is ₹800 for SC, ST, and BC category candidates and ex-servicemen from Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh.
