What changes are being made to the refund and application processes?
Fewer application rejections: The government will issue detailed guidelines regarding the documents and information required for GST registration. This will significantly reduce the number of applications that get rejected or cancelled.
Automated refund process: The procedure for refunding excess amounts deposited in the electronic cash ledger will now be automated. Faster access to funds: The timeline for issuing notices or memoranda related to refunds will be reduced from 15 days to 10 days.
