The PFRDA has launched a new digital portal for NPS subscribers called 'NPS Central,' which offers various features such as viewing account information, managing investments, and updating personal details.

If you are an NPS investor, you may be aware that, until now, you had to visit different portals to check account details, monitor your investments, or perform other related tasks. To simplify these processes, the PFRDA has launched a new, unified platform.

Which platform has been launched?

The PFRDA has introduced a new unified digital platform called 'NPS Central,' which brings together a wide range of essential services in one place.

Update your information

Subscribers can update their personal information and also have the option to register grievances.

Additionally, subscribers can contribute funds to their existing schemes or choose to opt for new ones.

Log in using your Date of Birth (DOB)

Perhaps the most significant change is that you no longer need your PRAN (Permanent Retirement Account Number) to log in to your NPS account. Subscribers can now log in using their Date of Birth (DOB) and their registered mobile number, verified via an OTP. In short, you no longer need to memorize your PRAN.

Registration for 'NPS Health'

Through 'NPS Central,' you can also register for 'NPS Health,' a scheme that provides both health insurance and investment benefits. Importantly, the PFRDA plans to add several more features to this portal in the future.

Benefits for new subscribers

Individuals opening an NPS account for the first time will be able to complete the registration process with the help of AI. Additionally, an AI assistant will be available to answer any questions they may have.

All fund details in one place

The 'NPS Central' portal consolidates services from Protean, CAMS, and KFintech onto a single platform. This eliminates the need for subscribers to visit multiple portals to access or verify information, making the process significantly more convenient than before.

How to log in to the 'NPS Central' portal?

If you already have an NPS account, you can log in by following a few simple steps:

First, visit the 'NPS Central' website.
On the homepage, select the 'Subscriber Login' option.
Enter your date of birth (DOB) and your registered mobile number.
An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number; enter it to complete the verification process.
Once verified, you will be logged into your account, where you can view the relevant information.
