Diwali gift for 2.24 crore farmers in UP: Rs 4,482 crore credited to their accounts via the 24th installment..
Farmers in Uttar Pradesh have received a major gift ahead of Diwali. In the lead-up to the festival of lights, 22.4 million (2.24 crore) farmers in the state have received the 24th installment under the PM Kisan Yojana. Prime Minister Modi released this 24th installment from Gujarat. Through this, more than ₹18,690 crore was transferred to the bank accounts of over 93.4 million (9.34 crore) farmers across the country—a group that includes 22.4 million farmers from Uttar Pradesh.
If you are a farmer in Uttar Pradesh and are eligible for the PM Kisan Yojana, the funds should have reached your account. If the money has not yet appeared, there is no need to worry; given the large number of beneficiaries, the transfers are being processed gradually. In some cases, it may take up to a week for the installment to reflect in a farmer's account, so please wait a little longer.
₹4,482.19 crore transferred to farmers in UP
A total of ₹4,482.19 crore was transferred to the bank accounts of over 22.4 million farmers in Uttar Pradesh as part of the 24th installment of the PM Kisan Yojana. The funds were sent directly to the farmers' accounts via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
Following the release of this installment, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath shared a post on social media:
"The prosperity of our villages lies in the well-being of our farmers, and the progress of the nation is rooted in the prosperity of our villages. With this vision, our respected Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji, speaking from Banaskantha in Gujarat, transferred over ₹18,690 crore directly into the bank accounts of more than 93.4 million farmers across the country as part of the 24th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi. This has also benefited more than 22.4 million farmers in Uttar Pradesh." The 'double-engine' government is working with full commitment to bring positive changes to the lives of our farmers—the 'annadatas' (providers of food)—to increase their income and to reduce the costs of cultivation. On behalf of all the farmers of Uttar Pradesh, I express my heartfelt gratitude to you, Prime Minister, for this gift received ahead of Diwali.
