As usual, many state governments have announced bonuses and increases in dearness allowance (DA) for millions of employees. Diwali Gift for Central Government Employees

The central government recently announced a 3% increase in dearness allowance (DA) for its employees. This means that DA has increased from 55% to 58%. This increase will be effective from July 1, 2025. This means that the DA for the last three months will be included in the October salary as arrears. This will not only increase salaries but will also enhance the joy of Diwali.

Diwali Gift for 14.82 Lakh Employees in Uttar Pradesh

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has approved a Diwali bonus for state employees. According to the state government order, 30 days' worth of achievements will be assessed based on a maximum monthly limit of ₹7,000. Each eligible employee will receive a benefit of ₹6,908. This decision will benefit approximately 1.482 million employees. The Chief Minister stated that this bonus will bring a package of happiness and joy to employees and their families.

Diwali Bonus for 6 Lakh Employees in Rajasthan

The Rajasthan government has also announced an ad hoc bonus ahead of Diwali. The Chief Minister stated that this bonus will be given to employees with a salary level of L-12 or a grade pay of less than ₹4,800. Each eligible employee will receive a maximum ad hoc bonus of ₹6,774. This will enable approximately 6 lakh employees in the state to celebrate Diwali with joy.

Bonus for Class-4 and other employees in Gujarat

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has approved an ad hoc bonus of up to ₹7,000 for Class-4 employees and other eligible staff. This decision will benefit approximately 16,921 employees. This includes state cabinet staff, the Assembly Speaker and his team, Panchayat and university employees, grant-in-aid school and college staff, and Class-4 employees of state boards and corporations. Additionally, the DA for ST employees has been increased from 55% to an additional 2%. This will benefit over 40,000 ST employees, totaling ₹30 crore.

Bonus for 2.5 lakh employees in Uttarakhand

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has announced a 3% increase in DA for government employees and teachers. The DA has been increased from 55% to 58%. This will benefit approximately 2.5 lakh employees and teachers. The bonus is capped at ₹7,000 for employees with a grade pay of up to ₹4,800. Casual and daily wage workers will receive up to ₹1,200. This decision will ensure that employees receive their DA arrears from July to October in one lump sum. This means their Diwali will be filled with happiness and financial relief.
