According to the instructions issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DOPT) of the Government of India, all central government offices and government offices in Delhi will remain closed on the day of elections. The reason behind this is that employees can exercise their right to vote and go to cast their vote. Apart from this, schools and colleges will also remain closed due to voting centers being set up in schools and colleges.

Liquor shops will remain closed.

Apart from this, the Delhi government has ordered that liquor shops and restaurants and shops serving liquor in the city will remain closed on the day of elections on February 5. In a recent notification issued by the Delhi Excise Commissioner, the dry day has been declared on the day of voting and counting of votes for the 70-member Delhi Assembly.

The shops will be closed for 48 hours from this evening

The notification issued by the Excise Commissioner said that it is ordered that there will be a dry day from 6 pm on February 3 to 6 pm on February 5 till the voting is over and on February 8.
