Commercial LPG Price: Businesses using 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders have received significant relief over the past month. Oil marketing companies first reduced the cylinder price by ₹183.50 on July 1. Subsequently, from August 1, prices were reduced again by ₹200 to ₹202. Thus, the commercial LPG cylinder has become cheaper by approximately ₹385 in just 31 days.

However, prices did not only see reductions this year. Earlier, on May 1, companies had implemented a massive hike of ₹993 in the price of commercial gas cylinders, causing a sudden spike in operating costs for businesses such as hotels and restaurants.

When did commercial LPG prices change this year?

First relief in July

On July 1, oil marketing companies reduced the price of the 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder by ₹183.50. This decision brought relief to business owners in the hotel, restaurant, *dhaba*, catering, and food sectors.

Prices dropped again in August

Following this, on August 1, companies lowered commercial cylinder prices for the second consecutive month. This time, reductions ranging from ₹200 to ₹202 were implemented across various cities. After two consecutive months of price cuts, businesses have seen a significant drop in their gas costs.

A major blow in May

Before this relief, the beginning of May had proven very costly for businesses. On May 1, the price of commercial LPG cylinders was raised by ₹993. This had a direct impact on the operating costs of the hotel, restaurant, and food service sectors.
