According to media reports, the notification can be released in the last week of November or the first week of December. Last year in 2023, the notification of CSIR UGC NET was released on December 1. With the release of the notification, the application process also started. However, the official date for issuing the notification by NTA has not been released yet.

CSIR UGC NET 2024: What is CSIR UGC NET Exam?

This exam is conducted to determine eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Lectureship (LS) / Assistant Professor in Indian universities and colleges. This exam is conducted twice a year by NTA at various centers designated in the country.

This exam also determines the eligibility of candidates for lecturership/assistant professorship in Indian universities/colleges. Candidates who qualify for JRF are eligible for lecturership/assistant professorship. This exam is for all subjects of the science stream including science, physics, chemistry.
