According to the rules of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), every citizen of the country is entitled to get a free credit report from every credit bureau once a year. There are four major credit bureaus in India, which issue credit reports. These credit bureaus are TransUnion, CIBIL, CRIF High Mark, Equifax, and Experian.

Usually, people check their CIBIL score with apps like Paytm, Cred, Google Pay, and know what their credit score is. But have you ever wondered how to download a credit report if you want to show this report to someone or know its details? Let us know if you want to check your credit report, or how to download the report from the website of all the bureaus.

1- CIBIL

First of all, go to CIBIL's website, cibil.com. Fill in the name, PAN number, date of birth, mobile number, and email for registration there. After this, confirm the identity with OTP and then download the report for free.

2- Equifax
First of all go to Equifax's website equifax.co.in and create your account there. On the Equifax website, you will also have to enter your PAN, address, mobile number, and email. After this, confirm your identity, and you will start seeing the report. If you want, you can also get the report offline, for which you will have to send the form, ID proof, and address proof.

3- Experian
First of all, go to Experian's website experian.in. Start by entering PAN, Aadhaar, mobile number, and email ID there. After this, verify the mobile number with OTP and then see the report. From here, you can download and save the report.

4- CRIF High Mark
First of all, you have to go to the website of CRIF High Mark, crifhighmark.com. Go there and fill out the registration form, which will include PAN, Aadhaar, address, email, and mobile number. After this, verify with OTP and download the report.

Always download the credit report only from these official websites, so that your personal information remains safe. Seeing the credit report does not have any negative effect on your score, because it is considered a 'soft inquiry'. At the same time, by checking the credit report from time to time, you can quickly detect any mistakes or fraud. With this, you can also keep your financial health better. If you have any problem in any step, then help can also be taken through customer service or the complaint section on these websites.

How is a credit score created?

Your CIBIL score is based on these things:

1- How timely you have paid your loan and EMI (Payment History - 35%)

2- How much credit have you used (Credit Utilisation - 30%)

3- What loans do you have (Credit Mix - 10%)

4- How many times have you applied for a loan or credit recently (New Credit Enquiry - 10%)

5- How old is your credit history (Credit History Length - 15%)

In how much time does a CIBIL score improve?

Generally, a significant improvement will be seen in the CIBIL score in 6 to 12 months. The score doesn't need to increase by 100 points immediately; it will increase slowly, but will increase.

Where to check the CIBIL score?

Nowadays CIBIL score can be checked for free on many apps and websites-

CIBIL's official website
Bank apps (HDFC, ICICI, Axis, SBI)
Paytm
Paisabazaar
BankBazaar
