Residents of Punjab will now receive cashless treatment worth up to ₹10 lakh, instead of ₹5 lakh. The Chief Minister's Health Scheme is launching on January 15th. 65 lakh families in the state will benefit from this health scheme. According to Punjab Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh, the scheme will benefit 100% of the state's population.
Under the Chief Minister's Health Scheme, treatment will be available at 212 government hospitals, 8 central government hospitals, and more than 600 private hospitals. An agreement has been made with United India Insurance for this purpose. Under this agreement, 65 lakh families will receive coverage of ₹1 lakh per family. Aam Aadmi Party convenor Arvind Kejriwal will launch the scheme on January 15th. The good news is that there is no income limit for this scheme. Nor are there any conditions that would exclude anyone from participating.
How to get the Chief Minister's Health Card
How to get the Chief Minister's Health Card? If you have this question in mind, let us tell you that more than 9000 camps will be set up across Punjab to create health cards for this scheme. Beneficiaries will have to visit these camps to get their cards made. Additionally, the enrollment process has been simplified through Common Service Centers (CSCs). After registration, beneficiaries will receive an MMSY health card. To avoid any inconvenience to the public, a helpline number will also be launched soon. This card will allow treatment for 2200 diseases.
These 2 documents will be required.
The first condition for obtaining the MSMY Health Card is that the applicant must be a permanent resident of Punjab. For this, it is essential to have an Aadhaar card and a Voter ID card with a Punjab address. Remember that the 'Chief Minister's Health Insurance Scheme' was already in effect in Punjab. This scheme, linked to the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, was not for everyone. Also, it provided coverage up to ₹5 lakh. The eligibility criteria were the same as those for obtaining the Ayushman card.
