ChatGPT: Record mode is available for Plus users, know its benefits and how to use it..

OpenAI has launched a new feature, 'Record Mode', in ChatGPT's macOS app, which is now available to ChatGPT Plus subscribers as well. This feature was earlier launched only for ChatGPT Team users, but now it is also available to Plus users in all countries.

What is Record Mode?

Record Mode is an AI-powered tool that records audio during conference calls, meetings, or voice notes and then prepares its transcription, summary, and notes. This app does not join the meeting separately, but works only using system audio.

How to use?

To use this feature, you must have the ChatGPT app on macOS and an active ChatGPT Plus subscription.

Click on the Record button at the bottom of the app.

Allow microphone and system audio access.

You can record up to 120 minutes of audio in a session and can also pause/resume the recording in between.

Once the recording is processed, the user sees its transcript and summary in the form of 'canvases'.

These summaries can also be converted into emails or detailed reports if the user wishes.

Record Mode is currently available only in English. OpenAI is working on support for other languages.
