Change your name on your PAN card online from the comfort of your home; find out the process..
Online PAN Card Name Change: The PAN card is one of the most important documents for financial transactions, opening bank accounts, filing ITRs, and applying for loans. Therefore, the name and other details recorded on the PAN card must perfectly match those on your other identity documents, such as your Aadhaar card or passport.
If your name or surname has changed after marriage, or if there is a spelling error due to a typing mistake, it is essential to get it corrected immediately. Discrepancies in the name can stall banking services or financial transactions. Here is the complete process for changing your name online via the UTIITSL portal.
Step-by-step process to change the name on your PAN card online
Visit the official UTIITSL PAN portal at pan.utiitsl.com. On the home page, click on the option for "PAN Card Correction/Update" or "Change & Correction in PAN Card." Enter your 10-digit PAN number and fill in your current details. Tick the box next to the information that needs correction and enter the correct details. Upload scanned copies of the required documents—such as an Aadhaar card, marriage certificate, or gazette notification—to support the name change. Pay the prescribed fee (approximately ₹107–₹110) for the new PAN card using UPI, net banking, or a credit/debit card. Double-check the entered details and submit the form. Keep the receipt and acknowledgment number received after submission safe; you can use them to track your application status on the portal.
Delivery within 15 to 45 days
Once the application is successfully processed and verification is complete, the updated PAN card is sent to your registered address via post within 15 to 45 days.
