How to change your name online

First of all, you have to go to the National Voter Service Portal https://voters.eci.gov.in/. After this, you will see the Shifting of Residence/Correction of Entry in Existing Electoral Roll option on the homepage of the site. A small picture of Form 8 will also be seen next to this option; you have to click on this option.

Click on Form 8 to change the name. After this, you will be asked to enter your mobile number. Note that here you have to enter the number that is linked to your voter ID card. After entering the number, an OTP will come to your number. Enter OTP and verify.

After logging in, you will be asked to enter the number of the voter ID card. As soon as you enter the number of the voter ID card, your details will appear. After this, you will be asked what changes you want to make in the voter ID., You have to choose the option of Correction of Entry.
