Central government employees are in for a treat, with the government announcing a 30-day bonus before Dussehra.

Employees who have served for a full year will receive a bonus of ₹6,908. Those who have not worked for the full 12 months will receive a pro-rata bonus (based on the number of months worked).
Central Government Bonus 2025: The festive season has begun in India, and on this occasion, the central government has given its employees a significant gift. The Finance Ministry issued an order on Monday. According to the order, the central government will provide its Group C and non-gazetted Group B employees with a non-productivity-linked (ad-hoc) bonus equivalent to 30 days' salary. According to the Finance Ministry, employees will receive a bonus of ₹6,908 in the financial year 2024-25. This order has created a wave of joy among central government employees, and they are excited about their bonus amount.
Who will receive the bonus:
The government stated that employees who have been in service as of March 31, 2025, and have worked continuously for at least six months will receive this bonus. All employees of the Central Paramilitary Forces and the Armed Forces will also receive the bonus. Furthermore, employees in Union Territories who are paid according to the central government's pay structure will also receive the bonus.
Employees who have served for a full year will receive a bonus of ₹6,908. Those who have not worked for the full 12 months will receive a pro-rata bonus (based on the number of months worked). The government has also announced bonuses for ad-hoc and casual employees. Casual employees who have served continuously for the past three years will receive a bonus of ₹1,184.
Maximum Bonus and Calculation:
According to the government order, the maximum monthly salary limit for calculating the ad-hoc bonus has been set at ₹7,000. The bonus will be calculated based on the employee's average salary or the maximum limit, whichever is less. The bonus will be converted into a bonus equivalent to 30 days' salary. For example, if an employee's monthly salary is ₹7,000, the 30-day bonus will be approximately ₹6,907. This decision will benefit central government employees and bring joy to their homes during the festive season.
