News is coming that the Education Ministry has directed the Board to develop logistics to conduct board examinations twice a year from the new academic session 2025-26.

There will be no semester system

According to information received from sources, the introduction of the semester system has been rejected. Next month, the ministry and CBSE board will consult school principals regarding conducting the examination twice. Right now the board is working on the structure of the academic calendar to add set of board examinations without disrupting the undergraduate admission schedule. Let us tell you that all these changes are being made under the new National Education Policy (NEP 2020).

There will be many changes

Let us tell you that last year the Central Government announced many changes in the education system under the new National Education Policy. This includes the new syllabus framework along with books for the academic session in 2024. This new syllabus also includes conducting board exams twice a year. Out of the two exams, whichever board exam a student has the highest marks in, he can use that number in further studies.

Last year, during an event in Chhattisgarh, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan had said that from the academic session 2025-26, students will get a chance to appear in the board examinations twice a year.
