CAT 2026 Registration Deadline Today; Applications Accepted Only Until 5 PM

The application process for CAT 2026 is drawing to a close. The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore will shut the registration window at 5 PM on September 22. Candidates who have not yet submitted their forms can still complete the application process on the official website by the deadline. The institute has already clarified that the registration period will not be extended beyond the revised deadline of September 22.

Earlier Deadline Was September 15

The initial deadline for CAT 2026 applications was set for September 15. Later, IIM Indore extended this date to September 22 to provide candidates with extra time. According to the revised schedule, the application process will conclude at 5 PM on September 22. Candidates are advised to thoroughly verify all their details before submitting the form. To register, candidates must first create a user ID and password via the 'New Candidate Registration' link. Subsequently, they must log in to enter personal information, educational details, and other required data. Candidates will also need to select their preferred IIM programs and test cities.

What is the CAT 2026 Application Fee?

The application fee for CAT 2026 has been increased this year. The fee is ₹2,700 for General, EWS, and NC-OBC candidates, while it is set at ₹1,350 for SC, ST, and PwD candidates. Payment can be made online. Along with the form, candidates must upload a photograph, signature, and—if applicable—a category certificate in the prescribed format. Final-year students must also submit a certificate issued by their institute in the prescribed format.

CAT 2026 Exam Date

The CAT 2026 examination will be held on Sunday, November 29, 2026. The exam will be conducted across 170 cities nationwide in three sessions. It will be a computer-based test. Candidates will be able to download their admit cards starting November 4, 2026.

Opportunity for Corrections After Registration

Once the application process concludes, IIM Indore will open an application edit window for a limited period. However, candidates will not be able to modify every detail; permission will be granted only to edit the photograph, signature, and test city preference. Therefore, candidates who have not yet applied for CAT 2026 can submit their applications by 5:00 PM tomorrow, September 22.
