Healthcare Providers of India (AHPI) has ended its meeting with Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Company today. In this meeting, concerns arising from the recent consultation to suspend the cashless facility of the policyholders were discussed. The meeting was attended by the core committee of AHPI and senior representatives of Bajaj Allianz. AHPI said that hospitals are facing severe financial and operational pressure due to insurance companies, which affects the care and safety of patients.

Eight major issues were discussed in the meeting, including non-empanelment of new hospitals on time, no rate revision for years, payment cuts, uncertain terms in cashless authorization, disputes over payment of new technologies and medicines, questions on clinical decisions of doctors, stopping recovery from patients by insurers, and threat to stop cashless services.
After the discussion, Bajaj Allianz agreed to all the issues and assured that it will submit a formal action plan on every subject to AHPI by 29 September 2025.
During this, AHPI Director General Dr. Girdhar Gyani said, "Our aim is to find a solution in the interest of patients in collaboration with insurance companies. We urge all insurers to work in partnership with hospitals, review old rates, establish a transparent grievance redressal mechanism and respect the clinical autonomy of doctors."
Bajaj Allianz agreed to restore cashless services immediately in the meeting. With this, AHPI withdrew the suspension order imposed on the company and expressed gratitude to Team Bajaj Allianz.
