Big relief news has come for the insurance holders. The Association of Healthcare Providers of India (AHPI) said that the ban imposed on the cashless services of Bajaj Allianz General Insurance and Care Health Insurance has now been lifted. Earlier, it was being said that from September 1, 2025, the customers of these insurance companies would not get a cashless facility in many hospitals of North India, but now this matter has been resolved.

AHPI has indicated that they will soon meet the General Insurance Council. Its purpose is to build good relations between insurance companies and hospitals, bring transparency in rates, and provide better services to patients on time.

On August 28, an important meeting was held between the core committee of AHPI and senior officials of Bajaj Allianz. In this meeting, both parties discussed and resolved old disputes. After this, it was decided that Bajaj Allianz will formally inform AHPI about its action by September 29, 2025, and will take necessary steps to resolve the complaints of hospitals. In return, AHPI directed the hospitals to start cashless services again.

There was never a ban on Care Health.
AHPI also clarified that the services of Care Health Insurance were never stopped. Only some clarifications were sought from them, which the company replied to, so their customers continued to get cashless services and will continue to get them in the future too.

Why did AHPI have complaints?
AHPI said that Bajaj Allianz had not increased the rates of hospitals for the last several years, due to which they were incurring losses. Apart from this, the company was also delaying in adding new hospitals to its network. At the same time, payment was refused in cases of robotic surgery or new technology. The biggest complaint was that insurance companies also interfere in the treatment of doctors, which is not in the interest of patients.

Insurance companies responded
Bajaj Allianz said that their aim is always to help patients, and they have never stopped cashless service. If cashless service is not available for any reason, then they pay directly to the patient's bank account. At the same time, Care Health also assured that the treatment process in its network hospitals will continue without interruption.
