With Raksha Bandhan approaching, a heavy rush of passengers is expected on trains, and seats often fill up months in advance. If you are planning to visit home for the festival but are considering cancelling your plans due to a lack of available seats, there is good news for you. The Railways has decided to run special trains to enable people to travel home for the occasion.

Capacity to be increased on other trains in addition to special trains:

Humsafar Express
Intercity Superfast Express
Ayodhya Cantt-Delhi Express
Sampoorna Kranti Superfast Express
Padmavat Express

Trains will operate on these routes:

Special trains will run between Bareilly and Roorkee:

Train No. 04319 will run between Roorkee and Bareilly.
Train No. 04322 will run between Bareilly and Roorkee.
Train No. 04321 will run between Bareilly and Roorkee.
Train No. 04320 will run between Roorkee and Bareilly.

Trains will operate between Lucknow and Haridwar:

Train No. 04330 will run between Lucknow and Haridwar.
Train No. 04329 will run between Haridwar and Lucknow.
Note: These special trains will operate from August 22 to August 31, 2026.

If you plan to travel on these trains, please check the train timings and status in advance.
