The maximum subsidy per beneficiary is Rs 31.25 lakh. Initially, the scheme will be implemented in ten divisional headquarters across the state. To be eligible, beneficiaries must have at least 3 years of animal husbandry experience and meet the land-related eligibility criteria.

The subsequent stages include the purchase of milch cows, their insurance for 3 years, a 12.5% subsidy for transportation, and the remaining 12.5% subsidy of the project cost in the final stage.
What is the eligibility and which documents are required?

Additionally, they must have at least 0.5 acres of land to set up a dairy unit and 1.5 acres of land for green fodder. If more applications are received, the selection will be done through e-lottery by a committee headed by the Chief Development Officer. The initial phase of the scheme has been launched in districts including Ayodhya, Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Lucknow, Kanpur, Jhansi, Meerut, Agra, and Bareilly.
