The Indian stock market witnessed an IPO frenzy on Thursday, September 17, with shares of six companies making their debut on the NSE and BSE on the same day. These companies include Rentomojo, LCC Projects, Steamhouse India, Karamtara Engineering, Asset Reconstruction Company (India), and Manipal Payment & Identity Solutions. Investors saw varying performances across these different companies during the listing.

**Rentomojo shares opened at a premium of nearly 19%**
Shares of Rentomojo, a company that rents out furniture and household goods, got off to a strong start. The company's IPO issue price was ₹404. The stock opened at ₹482.45 on the NSE, marking a premium of approximately 19.42%. Meanwhile, it debuted at ₹480 on the BSE, which is 18.81% higher than the issue price. Rentomojo's IPO had received an overwhelming response from investors, with the issue being subscribed approximately 72.88 times by the final day.

**LCC Projects delivered a premium of over 30%**
LCC Projects, an EPC and infrastructure sector company, also had a stellar listing. Its IPO issue price was ₹146. The stock opened at ₹189 on the NSE and ₹191.90 on the BSE, meaning investors on the BSE saw a premium of around 31.44%. The company plans to utilize the funds raised through the IPO for purchasing equipment, repaying debt, and meeting general corporate requirements. Its IPO was subscribed approximately 48.51 times.

**Karamtara Engineering and Steamhouse also posted gains**
Shares of Karamtara Engineering opened at ₹320 on both the NSE and BSE, compared to an issue price of ₹254; thus, the stock entered the market with a premium of around 26%. Meanwhile, Steamhouse India had an issue price of ₹81. The stock listed at ₹94.50 on the NSE and ₹93 on the BSE, resulting in a premium of approximately 16.67% on the NSE. 

Two companies saw weak listings.
Shares of Asset Reconstruction Company (India) had a flat debut; the stock opened at its issue price of ₹139 on both the NSE and BSE. Conversely, shares of Manipal Payment & Identity Solutions opened below their issue price. The stock listed at ₹330 on the NSE against an issue price of ₹339, marking a decline of approximately 2.65% at the start.

Thus, investors witnessed varied performance across the listings of these six IPOs. However, the listing-day premium or discount does not guarantee the stock's future performance. Investors should also consider factors such as the company's business operations, financial health, and valuation.
