What for farmers?

In the next 6 years, focus will be given to increasing the production of pulses like lentil, urad, and tur.

Work will be done on mission mode for 5 years to increase the production of cotton. This will strengthen the country's textile industry.

The loan limit on the Kisan Credit Card will be increased from 3 lakh to 5 lakh. Through this, loans are given to 7.7 crore farmers and fishermen.

Loan guarantee cover for MSMEs will be increased from 5 crores to 10 crores, loan up to 1.5 lakh crores will be available.

Priority to GYAN: The development measures proposed in the budget are spread over ten broad areas keeping in mind the poor, youth, farmers and women (GYAN).
