Budget 2025: Buying a house may become easier, money under PM Kisan Yojana is also expected to increase..

The government can encourage the purchase of cheap houses in the budget. Currently, the government gives subsidies on the interest rates of loans taken for the purchase of houses worth up to 35 lakhs. In the upcoming budget to be presented on February 1, the limit of up to 35 lakhs can be increased to 50 lakhs. This can increase the sale of cheap houses and give a boost to the construction sector.
In the budget for the upcoming financial year 2025-26, the government can make such a decision to encourage the construction sector. The construction sector creates the maximum employment in the service sector. But the growth rate of the construction sector has been decreasing for the last four quarters. In the second quarter of the current financial year 2024-25, there was a growth of 7.7 percent in the construction sector, while in the first quarter, this growth was 10.5 percent and in the last quarter of the last financial year this growth rate was 13.6 percent. In the quarter before that, there was an increase of 8.6 percent in the construction sector.
Experts say that the sale of cheap houses is continuously decreasing. Housing.com and PropTiger.com CEO Dhruv Agarwal said that increasing the subsidy eligibility limit along with increasing the tax subsidy limit on home loan interest will provide relief to the real estate sector from challenges. He said that for the last several years, the limit of interest up to two lakhs has been in place for tax exemption. Under the old system of income tax, home loan holders can avail interest up to two lakhs in their income for income tax exemption.
Relief can be given under PM Kisan.
Farmers can also be given relief under the PM Kisan Scheme in the budget. Under PM Kisan, registered farmers are given six thousand rupees annually by the government. According to sources, the government can increase the amount of PM Kisan to increase rural consumption.
Sources say that the amount of PM Kisan can be increased by one thousand rupees. This will benefit about 11 crore farmers in the country. Experts say that the biggest challenge before the government in the upcoming budget is to increase consumption as the growth rate of the economy seems to be slowing down in the current financial year 2024-25.
