According to the information, those who invest in the Atal Pension Scheme of the Central Government get a pension of up to Rs 5000 every month after the age of 60 years. For this, the pensioner has to invest in it. But now the government can double the minimum guarantee amount to Rs 10,000 under this major social security scheme in the budget.

There are crores of accounts.

According to the report, the central government is seriously considering strengthening the social security structure in the country. In such a situation, about 6.62 crore accounts have been opened in this scheme till June 20. Out of these, 1.22 crore accounts have been opened in the financial year 2023-24 itself. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman recently said on social media that the Atal Pension Yojana was designed as an affordable scheme with a guaranteed pension amount. In such a situation, it is believed that the pension amount may increase.
