Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has released a notification for recruitment to 47 posts of District Statistical Officer / Assistant Director. The online application process for this has started and interested candidates can apply till 24 June 2025.

Details of posts

A total of 47 posts will be recruited under this recruitment campaign. Selected candidates will be appointed to the post of District Statistical Officer (DSO) or Assistant Director in various departments of the state government.

Qualification and age limit

To apply for these posts, candidates must have a post graduation degree in Statistics, Mathematics or Economics from a recognized university.

Talking about the age limit:

Minimum age: 21 years
Maximum age for general male candidates: 37 years
Maximum age for women and reserved category: 40 years (exemption as per government rules)

Application fee

For general, OBC and other state candidates: ₹ 600
For SC/ST/women candidates of Bihar state: ₹ 150

How much will be the salary?

Selected candidates will get a salary of Rs 53,100 to Rs 1,67,800 per month under Level-9. Along with this, you will also get the benefit of other government allowances.
