The main examination for 1,799 posts of Bihar Police Sub-Inspector (Daroga) is being conducted today across two shifts. A total of 36,000 candidates are participating in this examination. Find out the exam rules and essential guidelines here.

Today is a momentous day for the youth of Bihar who are aspiring for a government job and dreaming of wearing the khaki uniform. The main written examination (Mains Exam) is being held today (May 27) for thousands of young aspirants who dream of becoming Sub-Inspectors (Darogas) in the Bihar Police. This crucial examination is being conducted by the Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) to fill a total of 1,799 vacant posts for the rank of Police Sub-Inspector under the Department of Home Affairs. The administration and police are on high alert regarding today’s examination to ensure that the entire process is completed without any irregularities and in a completely peaceful environment.

Exam Timings and Shifts

This significant examination is being conducted on a single day across two separate shifts. The exam schedule has been set as follows:

First Shift: Starts at 10:00 AM and concludes at 12:00 PM (Noon).

Second Shift: Starts at 2:00 PM and concludes at 4:30 PM.

When to Reach the Center? (Reporting Time)

The Commission has issued strict and clear directives stating that, under no circumstances, should candidates arrive at their respective examination centers less than one and a half hours prior to the scheduled start time of the exam. Any laxity regarding punctuality could result in your exclusion from the examination. Latecomers will strictly not be permitted to enter through the main gate.

For Candidates in the First Shift: The reporting time is set for 8:30 AM.

For Candidates in the Second Shift: It is mandatory to reach the examination center by 1:00 PM, without fail. Examination Centers and Number of Candidates

For this examination, 69 examination centers have been established across five major districts of the state, including the capital city, Patna. A total of approximately 36,000 candidates are set to appear for this main examination.

What to Carry?

E-Admit Card: This is the most essential document. Ensure you carry a printout of it with you.
Valid Photo ID Proof: To verify your identity, you must carry an original identity card. You may carry any one of the following: Aadhaar Card, Voter ID Card, PAN Card, or Driving License.
Passport-sized Photographs: Ensure you carry two recently taken passport-sized photographs for verification if required.

What Not to Carry?

Mobile phones
Bluetooth devices or earphones
Calculators or smartwatches
Digital diaries, palmtops, or PDAs
Slide rules or clipboards
If any candidate is caught in the examination hall with any of these items, their examination will be cancelled immediately, and strict action will be taken against them.
