HDFC Bank UPI Update: If you are a customer of private sector HDFC Bank, then there is big news for you. On July 13, HDFC customers will not be able to use some services including UPI. HDFC Bank will upgrade the system on July 13, due to which the UPI service of the bank will also be temporarily affected. Also, in the meantime, customers will not be able to check their bank balance.

This is the time for system upgrade

The purpose of upgrading the system is to improve the performance and capabilities of the bank and increase reliability. According to the bank, the time for system upgrade on July 13 is 3 am and it will be upgraded by 4.30 pm on the same day. During this period, customers will not be able to take advantage of some services. UPI service will be closed at two specific times.

These services including UPI will be closed at this time.

According to the information, on July 13, UPI service will not work from 3:00 am to 3:45 pm and from 9:30 am to 12:45 pm. At the same time, net banking and mobile banking services will not be available during the entire upgrade period. Apart from this, all fund transfer modes including IMPS, NEFT, and RTGS will also not be available during the upgrade period.

Transactions with debit cards and credit cards will continue

During the system upgrade period, customers can withdraw cash from any ATM using their HDFC Bank debit card or credit card. At the same time, the bank balance will be shown based on the balance as of 7.30 pm on July 12. Apart from this, customers can continue to use their HDFC Bank debit card or credit card on swipe machines at shops. HDFC debit cards and credit cards can continue to make online purchases and reset PINs or other card activities.

Suggestion from the bank

To avoid any kind of disruption, the bank has advised you to withdraw a sufficient amount and do all the necessary work like fund transfer before 7:30 pm on July 12, 2024. To reduce the inconvenience, this work will be done by the bank on Saturday, July 13, 2024. Being a second Saturday, banks will be closed on this day.
