Big relief to Jharkhand government employees: SBI will give accident insurance cover of ₹ 1 crore on salary account

The Jharkhand government has signed a major MoU with the State Bank of India (SBI) that will directly benefit thousands of its employees. Under the new agreement, government employees with a salary account in SBI will now get accident insurance coverage of up to ₹1 crore, along with health and life insurance benefits—without paying any additional fee.

An important agreement has been signed between the state government and the State Bank of India (SBI), under which Jharkhand government employees will get accident insurance cover of up to ₹ 1 crore if they have a salary account in SBI. Along with this, they will also get facilities like health and life insurance, that too without any additional charge.

No Extra Charges for Employees

No additional charges will be levied on the employees

The entire package of benefits will be available at no cost to the employees. These include:

• Accident insurance up to ₹1 crore

• Health insurance and life insurance benefits

• Access to exclusive SBI banking services under the Salary Package

Employees will not have to pay anything extra for all these facilities. Insurance and banking services will be completely free.

This agreement was formalized in a ceremony on Thursday. Present at the event were:

Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Finance Minister Radha Krishna Kishore, Chief Secretary Alka Tiwari and SBI Chief General Manager KB Bangaraju were present at the event.
