Waiting Ticket Rules: On the day of train travel, it is known only a few hours before whether the ticket is confirmed or not. But now the Railways has decided to change the rules regarding the waiting list.

Waiting Ticket Rules: More than 2.5 crore passengers travel by train every day in India. Let us tell you that this number of passengers is equal to the population of a country like Australia. Passengers traveling by train have one option to travel in reservation and the other in an unreserved coach. Generally, passengers prefer to travel by train through reservation. In which they get the facility to travel in AC coach and sleeper coach.

Many times after making a reservation, people's tickets go into waiting. And they get to know only a few hours before the day of travel whether their ticket is confirmed or not, in such a situation they have to face a lot of trouble. But now Indian Railways has found a solution to this. Let us tell you that the Railways has now decided to change the rules regarding the waiting list.

You will know whether you will get a seat or not so many hours in advance

Let us tell you that the Indian Railways has now decided to implement a new rule regarding the time of waiting tickets. At present, where people get to know the status of ticket confirmation 4 hours in advance. Now it will be known 24 hours in advance. Let us tell you that this pilot project has been started by the Railways at Bikaner Railway Station in Rajasthan as a trial run. Which has also been successful. According to the information received from the Railways, it will soon be implemented in the rest of the country as well.

Passengers will get time to choose the option

The final chart of the train is prepared by the Indian Railways 4 hours before its departure. That is, if someone's ticket is in waiting in a train. So he will not know till the day of travel whether he can travel in the train or not. In such a situation, the passenger is not able to choose any other option. Like going by bus or cab, he also misses the option.

But if confirmation about the waiting ticket is received from Indian Railways 24 hours in advance, whether the ticket is confirmed or not. In such a situation, the passengers will have time to choose a bus or any other alternative means for travel.

The new rule will soon be implemented on these routes too

On the suggestion of Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, the trial run of this rule was started by the Railways on Bikaner Division. The result of which has been very good. Now soon it can be implemented on other major routes of the country including Delhi, Bihar, Bengal and Mumbai.
